Olivia Irvine is based in Edinburgh, Scotland
I am an oil and egg tempera painter, drawing inspiration from family life, my house and garden, trips and holidays. I use sketchbooks, memory, point of reference and imagination, as well as the formal qualities of painting, especialy colour, to make my figurative compositions. I try to capture awkward and poetic moments that fascinate and sometimes disturb.
