Jackie Berridge is based in Southwell, East Midlands
Jackie Berridge's paintings are populated by unsettling creatures that are part fairytale, part nightmare. "Anthropomorphic beings," often with human like bodies but topped by heads from rabbits, foxes, donkeys and cows inhabit an imaginary landscape. These beings form clusters of individuals and lone characters reflecting Berridge’s interest in human behaviour especially group dynamics and social isolation.
