Julie McCalden is based in Bristol, South West
Operating in an arena of exchange where everything is in a perpetual state of becoming, McCalden actively seeks new ways of working imposing no artificial restrictions on her practice. A political undercurrent underlies the work, while interpretations of truth, reality and the ambiguousness of art as a medium capable of revealing hidden meanings are brought to the fore.
