Julie Lawrence is based in Merseyside, North West
With the starting point of a ballerina box kept since childhood, I use everyday found objects to animate a version of the world which takes on enchanted significance. Hovering between reality and unreality , the work addresses themes of endlessness, place, identity and a spiritual sense of belonging.
