Alex Dewart is based in Marlow, South East
I am a painter and my current practice questions the role of representation in painting. I have taken inspiration from Christian icon painting, replacing religious figures with a broader set of contemporary 'icons' as well as more general historical figures.My landscape work uses structures such as bridges which often have more symbolic values attached to them.
