The Fragility of Friendship, 2011

The Fragility of Friendship, 2011

details about this work

Linda Barlow is based in Wem, West Midlands

My work is often autobiographical and considers the changing social position of women in contemporary society. I am drawn to quilt-making with its slow, repetitive rhythms, and the fact that it has existed outside conventional art practice and as such has been the unrestricted voice of women.
