Angie de Courcy Bower is based in Wakefield, Yorkshire
As a figurative painter I strive to create images which are timeless and invite an emotional immersion - with an engaging simplicity that evokes recogniton and resonates with the viewer.
Inspired by archetypal and mythc impulses, juxtaposed with contemporary concerns, I use the figure as a viable conduit for explorations of modern culture: articulating the hopes and fears which permeate existence.
