Andrew Rafferty is based in Hemel Hempstead, Eastern


Rooted in the photographic, my work includes chemically based techniques to produce images onto paper, cloth and stone and also video installations

My focus has been the desire of humans to be remembered; from the neolithic monuments to City Hall, from graffiti to gravestones and now DNA, the human condition seems desperate to leave something of its existence,

  • 2010 Passion, The Crypt Galley. (Reworked and revised exhibition), St Pancras Church, London
  • 2008 Retrospective, The Factory, Redchurch Street, London
  • 2005 Construction, Continuous exhibition (for employees only) of 113 works set on 6 floors, selected by Anderson O'Day. Ernst and Young European HQ, London
  • 2002 City Hall, Inaugural exhibition for the opening of the building which was conducted by HRH Queen Elizabeth II and attended by Prince Philip and Lord Foster, Greater London Authority, (GLA), London
