Jae Maries is based in Haywards Heath, South East
My initial degree was specialising in oil painting but now I enjoy the challenge of combining painting with textiles. The contrast between the spontaneity of the brush stroke and the hands-on, tactile quality of working with fabrics and threads adds a new dimension to the work.
