Sula Rubens is based in Southwold, Eastern
Painter/printmaker. She builds up the paintings/collages in layers using a variety of media such as oil, graphite, pastel, charcoal and printing techniques.
A remarkable feature of her practice is her use of everyday objects such as photographs, stamps, labels, scraps of wallpaper or floor lino as well as drawings.
Often the etchings incorporate the chine colle technique.
