Phil Toy is based in Bristol, South West
A fascination with beliefs/science irrationality/rationality, order/disorder has underpinned my work from early in my art education and sustains through all the work that I make. I have worked in sculpture, installation, painting, film and photography. Currently, I work with photographs that I take creating layered image montages. German Romanticism and Film Noir are influencing this current work.
