Elfyn Lewis is based in Cardiff, Wales
My work as a painter is a process based practice that has developed over the past 15 years. I work on the surface, applying paint time and again with various tools to try and capture an image that might have a feeling of somewhere be it landscape or just purely about the paint. I paint directly on mdf or canvas using acrylic paint that is pushed and dragged across the surface with various brushes and trowels.
