Stephen Livingstone is based in Durham, North East
My work is about landscape and habitat. I go for the wild and bleak places, where the land has been scarred by industry, mined for minerals, exploited, abandoned and then regenerated. I like to work with museum collections and historic sites. I use natural and found materials - paints made from dust, rusted and burnt objects and reformed books.
