Melissa Mahon is based in Bath, South West
Using photography, film and sculpture as tools, Mahon's work explores mundane traces left by people in redundant spaces,attempting to push boundaries about what the viewer knows is illusory yet considers real. She asks questions concerning the authority of the image - asking an open ended question 'can a 2-d image ever be considered contemporaneous?'
