June Nelson is based in Lewes, near Brighton, South East
Welsh-born June Nelson's work includes painting, drawing, installation and assemblages, using paint, wax, graphite, plaster, and digital imagery. Underpinned by an epigrammatic approach to an often-elusive surface or narrative her themes are the nature of the objectivity we seek when looking in mirrors, constructing maps to understand our place in the world, or contemplating edges and surfaces.
