Naseem Darbey is based in Bradford, Yorkshire


Artist and visual story teller, Naseem Darbey explores the relationship between drawing and textiles, and through direct observation creates unique “hollow drawings” and 3D installations using a sewing machine as her drawing implement.

  • 2010 Between The Lines- Supported by Arts Council England. A Years residency to produce new works from Museum collections, resulting in a solo show 2011, Cliffe Castle Museum and Art Gallery, Keighley

  • 2007 The Lost Stitch, A film produced in collaboration with studio 163, Commissioned by FABRIC in conjunction with Bmedia and the Big Screen, Bradford, Showcased at the Brighton and Glasgow film festival 2007
  • 2005 Artist exchange and supporting exhibition, Bradford Museums, Cartwright Hall, Bradford, England and Ham, Germany
