Maya Ramsay is based in London
I use a unique technique to lift off the top layer of surfaces from the built environment and re-present slices of our surroundings. My works capture the history imbued in architectural surfaces, whilst referencing issues of war and oppression. My works push the material and conceptual possibilities of the medium of paint, operating at the juncture of painting and sculpture.
