Maya Ramsay is based in London
I use a unique technique to lift the top layer of surfaces in the built environment, re-presenting slices of our surroundings. My works capture the history imbued in our built environments, whilst referencing modernist painting and political issues. My works push the material and conceptual possibilities of the medium of paint, operating at the juncture of painting and sculpture.
