Katherine Hymers is based in Bury St Edmunds, Eastern
Time is a leitmotif underscoring much of Hymers' moving image work, heightened by the use of carefully composed images, many of which utilize the body as a presence to expose the viewer's position and complicity. The work operates more as video as painting than video as novel, exploring the possibilities afforded when a still image is given a duration.
