Ruth Piper is based in Bristol, South West
Painting is my form of choice and I use drawing and collage to generate new ideas.
I experience painting as an intense psychological and existential exercise, a way of processing and channeling complicated and sometimes unsettling emotions.
I borrow the abstract format of the diagram using acrylic for opaque flat colour.
