Alan Slater is based in Rhos-on-Sea, Wales
Less than one mile from my home there is a hill. One side of the hill is covered by ancient woodland. It is within and among the twisted, gnarled, overgrown forms that I find my subject matter, ghosts of a past that are the present's memories.
