Joanna Kane is a visual artist based in Scotland working with photography, video and new media. Her work uses portraiture as a starting point for investigating historical, scientific, medical or technological archives, and how these shape who we are. Recent work has included 'The Somnambulists' at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, 2008, and 'Cloud People' for New Media Scotland, 2010.
