Frances Ryan is based in Crawfordsburn, Northern Ireland
Using my own childhood recollections as a starting point, I process my ideas by experimenting with oil, collage and various painting mediums. I am interested in the fallibility of memory, the concept of distorted 'screen memories' where recollections are condensed or overlapped and the condition known as paramnesia where dreams are confused with reality.
