Gayle Chong Kwan is based in London
Gayle Chong Kwan works with photography, video, sound, installation, and performance to create mythical mise-en-scene landscapes and environments out of disturbing arrangements of waste materials. Her work refers to Romanticism, masterplanning and contemporary tourism and trade to explore ideas of collective and individual memory and expanded notions of the senses. Chong Kwan has shown extensively nationally and internationally.
