Stephen Todd is based in Sheffield, Yorkshire
I work across painting, drawing and photography with several areas of investigation: landscape, seascape, human form and historical-based research. The work is based on strong mark making, often incorporating illegible text. I have a particular interest in the relationship between evidence and presented facts and how work about the landscape can allude to a different time from the present.
