Artist statement

My sculptural work is abstract in nature and reflects my interest in the collection and reuse of everyday materials sourced from my immediate surroundings. These materials are used to explore and develop mixed media works which contain elements of archaeology and archival records. The individual pieces are bright and colourful and make use of collage and assemblage techniques in their construction. My work is set squarely within art-historical and contemporary developments in art and design and comments on colour, form and texture.
