Artist statement
The Quick and the Dead.....An Expression of the aliveness and intensity of living, loving, and dying.....
Aliveness comes only in the present moment. Once any thing becomes manifest, it is part of History in which the living has died. It serves then, as documentation of a living moment in creation. It is this moment of creation which matters.. when the quickened wellspring and flame are at their brightest, most vibrant and alive. If one is able, one can illuminate its breath, but even then it no longer lives; it is already a thing of the past, and then one must relinquish it, let it go in order to breathe again
Our transience is echoed in the ineffable,
The pathways are those on which we never arrive
The horizon is beyond where we will never see.
These are daydreams of infinity
