Artist statement
ConceptsMy interest in the notion of place is linked to the idea of duration, repetition and juxtaposition of narrative. Since 1998 I have been developing a body of work (painting and photography) with the title Thought Dwellings. These images derive from memories and experiences of the 'ordinary'. They are perceptions of everyday life, but also offer possibilities for more philosophical considerations. They are depictions of 'void', the condensation of information into a place where thoughts can dwell. Thought Dwellings. Sub-headings: Sky - Plant - Space - Garden.
