Artist statement

I've always been interested in working with a range of media to develop work using the most appropriate material. This is why it may appear a mixed bag. For instance, recent exhibitions have used projections in one space, museum cabinets in another, found and reconstructed elements on a wall in another space, and so on. I like the idea of mixing things up, where you can play with the senses and encourage the audience to go from one set of experiences and readings to another. A political sensibility, together with an awareness of where and how work is situated, whether for gallery or non-gallery pieces, are at the core of my practice. It's a case of context and flexibility.
