Artist statement

Concepts
Explorations of memory, experience and ideas of experience, from landscape, interiors, human predicament attempting to capture and play with images jostling to form- just before perception - a kind of mental cubism. Works, on the edge of representation, varying in intent, scale, depiction, try to reconcile illusion/allusion, abstract/figurative, past/present pictorial languages to create an autonomous, unforeseen visual experience.
