Artist statement

Tenneson and Dale's artwork explores the link between the Houses of Parliament (the epitome of order); the Minimalist movement (the ordered, pure art) and the various forms of public information signage (the physical manifestation of order).

The works are executed in paint
The works are executed in paper

The works are executed by Tenneson and Dale

The works are determined by governmental statistics
The works are determined by the purity of Minimalism
The works are determined by public information signage

The works are Labour, Liberal Democrat and Conservative
(After each election, the works will be repeated)

The works are neutral
The works are primary
The works are red, yellow and blue
The works are prohibition, hazard and mandatory
The works are geranium, primrose and blue

The works are determined by their environment
The environment is the institution
The institution is the framework
The framework inspires the works
The framework places the order
The framework orders the work

We will not impose the order, the order is imposed on us
