Artist statement
Emily Haysom is a painter and conceptual artist whose practice focuses on socially engaged and public art. Her main area of interest is 'individuals in community'. Favouring simplicity, low tech methods and word of mouth communication she collaborates with others to explore identity, resulting in artworks that are a mixture of contemplation and social documentary.
