Artist statement
I define my art practice as conceptual where the work is ideas-led and the end product is manufactured or created using specialist services. Outcomes range from large scale installations to small scale multiples which are always site-specific and consider political, social and economic frameworks. These considerations are present not only in my practice, but also inform other areas of artistic activity, for example the Northern Art Prize and PSL [Project Space Leeds] which are projects set up to provide exhibition opportunities for artists and to raise the profile of visual arts activity in Leeds to local, regional and national audiences.
