Artist statement

Concepts
I work in the areas of installation, sculpture and recently film, Often my installation work has a performative element. Most of my work develops from available found materials and in part deals with society's attitude to these materials. The work questions the value of newness. Other major influences are maps and an ongoing interest in grids. Recent work has concentrated on the use of redundant packaging. Questioning the use once disposability of this material within the wider picture of a consumer driven society.

Influences
I follow in the 20th century tradition of using found objects. Main artists of influence; Kurt Schwitters, Robert Rauschenberg and Fluxus.

Career path
