Artist statement

The context for the work exists within the realms of experiential installation, making the intangible tangible, using the viewer as a connecting link and a transient, ephemeral substrate.Gill Greenhough's practise considers liminality and notions of absence. Materials are used that evoke the unseen and unacknowledged whilst being knowingly fragile and inherently dangerous. The works solidity is often betrayed by the fragility and precarious nature of the material.
