Artist statement
The main interest of my studio based practice is a questioning of how information and images are structured, performed, remembered and retold for us and by us through representations, and the effect this has on our interior and exterior experiences. The images and information I use are eclectic and sourced from different experiences: Be these viewed objects of Antiquity or historic examples of sculptural form, visited, recalled or read about; to photo-essays clipped from National Geographic, snippets of glossy advertisements selling us the new new; to found bric a brac and sometimes personal stories or possessions.
