Artist statement

Candice Jacobs currently lives and works in Nottingham.  She was one of the co-founders and co-directors of Moot, an artist-run gallery/project space in Nottingham (2005 - 2010), and One Thoresby Street (2009 - present), an artist-run project which supports individual artists and art organisations. 

Recent exhibitions include; In Production, Outpost Gallery, Norwich; An action, event or other thing that occurs or happens again, One Thoresby Street, Trade Gallery and Bonington Gallery, Nottingham; 'Outrageous Fortune', Focal Point Gallery (Hayward Touring), Southend-on-Sea; 'Portmanteau', g39 at Halle 14, Leipzig; 'Too Much', Sideshow 2010, Nottingham (solo 2010); 'If....', G39 Cardiff (solo 2010); 'Automatic', Auto Italia, London & Pallas Contemporary Projects, Dublin (group 2009); 'Between Tracks', The International 3, Manchester & Nextex, St Gallen Switzerland (group 2009); 'Future 50', Project Space Leeds (group 2008); "Creative 30", The Independent / Yahoo / Vice Magazine and "Studio Voltaire Annual Members Exhibition", London (2008).
