Victoria J Dean

Recurring themes within my photography revolve around the built landscape and often deal with the uncomfortable relationship that we may have with nature. Through my work I aim to comment on the organisation of space and the interpretation by the individual within the context of social, political and cultural issues. I photograph from the perspective of an outsider, removed from the routine of the everyday in order to question the ordinary environments that we take for granted. By working in series, I aim to identify an iconography of such places. read full statement
