In my artistic work I study and explore the life of the modern man, focusing on body image, identity, gender roles and consumerism. I most often draw my inspiration from my personal experience and feelings. Popular culture and the aesthetics of the everyday are also important influences in the process. I believe that my works, however personal, eventually become universal reflections of the time and world, in which we live. While science and technology advance we are faced with new possibilities to shape our essence and adjust circumstances of our lives. Attempts to define the line between natural and unnatural is bound to create conflicts and pressures for the modern man in search of identity and purpose in life. In my exhibitions I usually combine different medias such as photography, digital graphics, performance, drawing and video. Reduced visuality created using colour, lights and shadows is characteristic to my work. I approach my themes often with humour and irony. read full statement
