wood, glue, carpet

"An undulating rug appears to be suspended in the middle of a room. On closer inspection, the illusion is exposed and the magic is dissipated: the rug is actually arranged on a flimsy and precarious construction. However, the failed illusion is transcended and the visible structure supporting the flying carpet takes centre stage. In a sense, it is the structure that now 'flies' in its paradoxical fragility."
