STRIKE PENRHYN (2016) is an artistic response to Penrhyn Castle, North Wales by Robyn Woolston.
As the recipient of the National Trust Arts Council Wales Artist in Residence programme she undertook a 6 month period of embedded research that placed in parallel the history of the castle against the narrative of the Great Penrhyn Strike of 1900 - 1903.
Her journey included filming at Welshslate Ltd, once the largest quarry pit in the world alongside interviewing a former quarryman who worked onsite for 49 years.
