    Biography

    Rachel Howfield is a visual artist working across several disciplines, most recently encompassing walking as art practice. She walks solo, and also facilitates group walks in her local Yorkshire countryside, examining ways to slow down, notice, connect and create.

    Her work explores how we become who we are, our public and private selves and addresses themes of identity, connection and belonging, with reference to feminism and post-feminist ideologies. 

    Rachel is also a gallery educator, and project manager in arts and wellbeing.
