Biography

I work primarily with performance and mixed media. Through my performances I strive to break down the boundary between the performer and the audience while revealing the dynamics of relationships. In many works I express my ingratitude, worries, or resentment towards technology that I use in everyday life. In other works I express my gratefulness, love, and devotion towards objects and things. My attachment to things may sound nonsensical but to me, objects know when I'm annoyed with them, they understand when I need them to work with me rather than against me. They possess just as much spirit as any human being does. At the core of my work I challenge the symptoms I suffer from as a result of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Although the subject of PTSD can be viewed as very serious, I aim to explore my symptoms in a humorous and light-hearted way.
