Pine-needle balls constructed with homemade, organic glue in imitation of those made in winter in the Scottish mountains through the action of floodwater and ice, as described by Nan Shepherd in her book 'The Living Mountain'. My week's residency in the purpose-built treehouse/artist's space of Outlandia, organised by Nevis Landscape Partnership and London Fieldworks, was a response to this book.
