(Emma Cocker) My current practice presents a stage of enquiry constructing a narrative into a journey through nothing as a means to seek, explore, excavate and uncover to examine the question; what is nothing? In the same way one may seek to examine the amazon rain forest or the Sahara desert to define its state of being, its substance. It is under these circumstances of being on the edge of reality and that of an otherworldly state, perhaps that of fiction, that we uncover the individual who seeks nothing as a means to define purpose of their identity of being. read full statement
