James Winnett

James Winnett is a Glasgow based artist working primarily in sculpture, print, video and public art through an approach that merges processes of research, collaboration and documentation. Since 2006, he has exhibited widely, undertaken international residencies and developed a range of collaborative public art projects across the UK. Recent commissions and awards include '100 Flowers Public Art Commission', New South Glasgow, Hospitals Gingko Projects, Glasgow; 'A Breath of Fresh AIR', artist in residence for Cuningar Loop, Glasgow, Forestry Commission Scotland (2013-2014); 'The Rise and Fall of the Grey Mare's Tail', one of four major commissions for Environmental Art Festival Scotland (2013), 'Glasgow Visual Artist Award', Glasgow Life (2013) and selection for MAstars by Common Guild curator Kitty Anderson (2012).
