Gill NewtonArtist, Maker
I make impermanent abstract artworks including drawing, jewellery and installations and feel an affinity with Art Povera. Using humble, often reclaimed materials, I explore line and space intuitively. With simple techniques and processes curiosity takes me from one thing to the next, assembling, juxtaposing and balancing primitive works in space. I blend craft skills with a fine art sensibility to express human feeling and the fragility of our existence.
