    Biography

I make impermanent abstract artworks including drawing, jewellery and installations and feel an affinity with Art Povera. Using humble, often reclaimed materials, I explore line and space intuitively. With simple techniques and processes curiosity takes me from one thing to the next, assembling, juxtaposing and balancing primitive works in space. I blend craft skills with a fine art sensibility to express human feeling and the fragility of our existence.

    CV & Education

    overview
I set aside jewellery making in 2008 to explore the motivations underpinning my craft practice. I took part in the AA2A Scheme at Portsmouth University 2008/09 and gained my MA in Fine Art at Wimbledon College of Art in 2012. I now blend my craft skills with an expanded fine art sensibility-drawing, making 3D artworks and occasional limited edition jewellery. I divide my time between my art practice and as a part-time College tutor.
I have worked in adult, further and higher education, as a freelance consultant and subject specialist. I have a BA (Hon's) in 3 Dimensional Design (Metals) 1991 from West Surrey College of Art & Design, Farnham and hold the TDLB D32/33 Assessors Awards and the City & Guilds Further & Adult Education Teachers' Certificate.
