Biography

Emily Haysom is an artist and  landscape architect.  Her art practice focuses on socially engaged and public art. Her main area of interest is 'individuals in community'.  Favouring simplicity, low tech methods and word of mouth communication she collaborates with others to explore identity, resulting in artworks that are a mixture of contemplation and social documentary.  Her landscape projects explore the dynamic qualities of landscape in urban environments, working collaboratively with architects, and communities to create spaces shared by people and nature.
