Biography

Cherry's artwork explores the banal narratives that exist within the language of institutional design, including products, graphic identities and signage. Her work appropriates institutional, graphic forms and often takes the form of interventions, including site-specific projects.

Recent works on paper narrate the ironic, everyday devaluation of art and academia within the design and lifespan of products available from or associated with cultural institutions - from the misappropriation of original artworks in souvenir designs through to the inconsequential acts of everyday life.

CV & Education

Cherry Tenneson (b. 1980, Liverpool) studied BA Interactive Arts, and completed MA Fine Art at Manchester School of Art in 2004. 

Cherry has exhibited nationally and internationally, including projects for Becks Fusions; HOME, Manchester; Axel Lapp Projects, Berlin; Matt Roberts Arts, London.
