Cherry's artwork explores the banal narratives that exist within the language of institutional design, including products, graphic identities and signage. Her work appropriates institutional, graphic forms and often takes the form of interventions, including site-specific projects.
Recent works on paper narrate the ironic, everyday devaluation of art and academia within the design and lifespan of products available from or associated with cultural institutions - from the misappropriation of original artworks in souvenir designs through to the inconsequential acts of everyday life.
