In my parallel career as a Research Psychologist I work with objective evidence-based assessments of psychological risk and resilience formed from in-depth, semi-structured interviews. In my art practice I make 'Psychological Landscapes', works which are more at the interface of the objective and the subjective. I work  across  photography and also sometimes film, sculpture and mixed media. My work is usually shown large-scale, mounted on aluminium,  in exhibitions, at residencies and for hotel and business commissions. I'm interested in representing ideas around the liminal, borders - subjects that can't easily be dichotomised and reference natural processes and locations.   In the studio I often work with small-scale,  everyday materials to  create 3d sculptures that exist for a short time specifically for the camera. I still choose to work with the analogue process using medium format camera wherever I can as I really like the quality and depth of the final large scale work this gives.
