Catherine Bagg

Artist, Curator, Project manager, Researcher

As a curator I am driven by a desire to create new dialogues between artists and art works. My projects are context specific and often concieved in response to a particular site or location. Examples of this include; The Winters Waysgoose developed for the vaults of Copped Hall - a derilct manor house in Epping Forest which burnt down during WW1, the A Plan Projects booth and interventions for the inaugural Sluice Art Fair - an art fair for artist led organisations which took place in the context of Frieze week and The Grass Will Grow Over The City which took place in disused warehouse space located directly across the canal from the Olympic site whilst it was still under development. I am particularly interested in working with recent graduates and emerging artists to create and support opportunities for making new works and am constantly on the look out for new and exciting venues, collaborators and opportunities.
